Hi, I’m Emma Soy, CEO and Founder of Gentle Shepherd Care
After more than 35 years of dedicated service as a nurse, I founded Gentle Shepherd Care in 2019 with a crystal clear vision:
It was time to redefine elder (aging senior?) care.
This became obvious to me as I observed how the fast-growing needs of the Baby Boomer generation were being addressed.
I quickly realized a gap in the standard of senior care.
The traditional elder care that was available was limited to managing daily activities with a reliability on medication for symptom management for those with chronic diseases like Parkinson’s, MS, dementia, and Alzheimer’s.
Instead of enhancing quality of life, existing senior care offerings often just observed decline.
I decided to change that.
At Gentle Shepherd Care we believe aging is not a disease, and that growing older should be a time of dignity, comfort, and connection — not compromise.
That’s why we offer compassionate, holistic, in-home care that nurtures the whole person: body, mind, spirit and focus on the root cause of aging.
